Welcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop! Today’s hop is filled with inspiring projects that share the gratefulness of the season. Whether you are ready to celebrate Thanksgiving this week or just feel reflective of the things that make you thankful, we are sure you’ll find great inspiration from our talented team members. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My project today reflects on my thankfulness for friends and family. I am so grateful for their support, encouragement, love and laughter.
Tips & Tricks
Corrugated Paper: I really love the texture of our Corrugated Paper. If you missed my previous project using the white Corrugated Paper, you can see it here.
Sparkly, Spattered Background: You might be wondering how I got such a spatter of background glitter onto the Corrugated Paper. For the Old Olive, I put a drop or two of Old Olive Reinker in the lid of an old button container, picked it up with the tip of an Aqua Painter and then flicked it onto the Corrugated Paper. Note to self: cover your workspace and remove all other projects from the immediate area. The glitter was flicked in a similar manner, but instead of refill ink, I mixed a drop or two of our Multipurpose Liquid Glue with a drop or two of water. Then I dipped the tip of the Aqua Painter into the thinned glue and flicked it. I scattered glitter on the front of the card, tapped off the excess, and ended up with a sparkly, spattered background.
Fine Tip Glue Pen: See that thin strip of glimmer paper? It used to be such a mess trying to glue or tape one of those to a project, but with our new Fine Tip Glue Pen, it’s no problem at all. When you get your new Fine Tip Glue Pen, don’t forget that it’s like a ketchup bottle–there’s that little paper under the cap that keeps it fresh. You’ll have to remove that before using your Glue Pen, or you’ll be frustrated squeezing like crazy and getting no results!
