Believe it or not, we need to start thinking about items that will be retiring from the Stampin’ Up! Annual and Occasions Catalogs. The Retiring List will be announced and posted on April 18 – that’s NEXT Monday – at 3 PM EST. Accessories, including ink pads and refills, cardstock, DSP, embellishments and everything else that is NOT A STAMP will be available ONLY while supplies last. Further details about retiring products will be posted on the 18th.
What is the retiring list?
Every June, Stampin’ Up! releases a new Annual Catalog. To make room for all of the new products, Stampin’ Up! retires some product from the previous catalogs. The Retiring List is a list of all items that will be retired (no longer available) from the current annual and occasions catalogs. Some of the products MIGHT show up on the Clearance Rack at some point, but there are no guarantees and nobody knows when that might happen, if ever.
What’s this mean to you?
If you don’t want to miss out on anything that is retiring, you will want to check out the list and place your online order ASAP after the list is posted.
What can I do to prepare?
I would highly encourage you to order any items that you know will be retiring NOW. For example, we know that the 2014-2016 In Color products will be retiring.* If you need ink pads, ink refills, cardstock, ribbon or anything else in the 2014-2016 In Colors, I would suggest ordering them this week. These items ALWAYS sell out very quickly, once the retiring list is displayed. Remember, they are only available until they’re gone, but they are guaranteed UNTIL the 18th, so ordering them now is the safest thing to do. Also, we usually get ALL NEW DSP with a new catalog.**
* IF there is a color refresh, some or all of the In Colors might come back, so we can’t be absolutely sure about this until the 18th—but by then it could be too late!
** This is USUALLY the case—sometimes there might be a pack or two available the following year.
What’s the best way to place the order?
An online order is always the most convenient way for you to receive your products. However, if you are local and you are placing a small order but don’t want the expense of the minimum shipping charge, you can email me your order and I’ll bundle some orders together to minimize your shipping costs. I will place the order on Friday, 4/15, at noon, so please send me your order before then! When it arrives next week, I’ll let you know and you can swing by to pick your products up.
If you plan to place an order next week, once the list is released, I would suggest placing an online order. I can’t guarantee a specific turnaround time, and I wouldn’t want you to miss out on an item that is retiring because I didn’t get your request.
Is there a hostess code I should use?
If you are placing an order of $150 or more, please take advantage of your Stampin’ Rewards! But, if it’s a smaller order, I would appreciate you using the hostess code XAMJ2YHS so that I can order some extra goodies to share with you all during a promotion later in the year.
As always, let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for stopping by!
