Happy New Year!
It’s been a very happy New Year on our cul de sac. Our sweet neighbors just had their third child; their first baby boy! To congratulate and celebrate them, I made this card and gift, based on a card I saw by Kay Kalthoff:
Tips and Tricks
White on White: A classic look that I love. Raising the panel gives it depth without adding a layer of colored cardstock.
SCORE! It’s really easy to make a big impact when you use the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to highlight a panel. Here I just scored two lines on each side of the raised panel to add some detail.
Similar but Different: I wanted the notecards for the new mom to be similar to the congratulations card, but, obviously, I wanted to use a different sentiment. This “thank you” is from the All Things Thanks stamp set in the new Occasions catalog. Lots of great fonts and sayings!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Papers: Whisper White
Stamp Sets: All Things Thanks, And Many More, Something for Baby
Accessories: Baby’s First Framelits, Marina Mist 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon, 5/8″ Organza Ribbon, White Perfect Accents, 6 x 17 Gusseted Cellophane Bags, Simply Scored Scoring Tool
These are wonderful, Deb! I love giving a set of thank you cards as gifts. Lovely!
