Raise your hand if you like Cool Treats for your birthday! That’s what I thought, so that’s why today’s birthday card is made with a greeting from Cool Treats.
Tips and Tricks
Feeling Punchy: I love the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. It’s so EASY to create awesome looking tags and focal points for cards. To layer the tags on this card I used a 2″ strip of Early Espresso and punched both ends like normal. The Very Vanilla cardstock is just 1/8″ narrower and shorter than the Early Espresso. I punched this on both ends, too, and then snipped just a little off the corners to round them off. I did have to punch the Very Vanilla cardstock twice, the second time just so that the ribbon holes could match up. While I always use the Scalloped Tag Topper right side up because it’s so much easier to load the paper, I did turn it upside down to see where to punch to the enlarge the ribbon hole.
Enamel Shapes: For some unknown reason, I resisted these enamel shapes until just recently. What was I thinking!? They are adorable, versatile, come in every Brights, Regals and Subtles color, and now they are a go-to embellishment for me. As of Friday, the 2016-2018 Enamel Dots are still available (pssst-they are 50% off, too!). Don’t delay–order today!
Retiring List: I hate to break bad news, but lots of the retiring products are selling out. But good news! The Moroccan Designer Series Paper featured on this card is still available–WHILE SUPPLIES LAST! Check the links below to see all of the retiring products.
