At Home with Stampin’ Blends

Today is the day Stampin’ Blends are available in my online store! To celebrate, I’ve colored these images from At Home With You, a versatile and fun-to-color set in the annual catalog.

At Home with Stamplin' Blends

Blending these alcohol-based markers is so easy and so much fun. I almost didn’t make this card because I was having too much fun coloring so many different images. Now my table is full of beautifully blended bits and pieces!

Tips and Tricks

Stampin’ Blends:  Stampin’ Up! has done extensive testing to make sure these markers are practical and ready for lots of use on stamped images, the Just Add Color Specialty Designer Series Paper or the new Color Me Happy Project Kit. Here’s a little background:

  • Add just the right amount of color where you need it with the brush tip or fine-point.
  • Each color (except Ivory and Bronze) has a light and dark shade marker, available individually or in a combo pack.
  • Tested against evaporation — the press fit seal prevents air from entering the barrel and causing evaporation.
  • The nestable lids are easy to keep track of and have a tight fit for long-lasting color.

These videos will help you get the most out of your Stampin’ Blends:

Embossing Paste: This product is new to the annual catalog, and I absolutely love it. It provides easy and eye-popping texture that will always get a “WOW!”. I recommend purchasing the Pattern Party Decorative Masks (set of 4) and the Palette Knives with the paste to get the most use out of it–the Brick mask was perfect for the background of the house. The paste comes white, but with just a couple of drops of ink from my Smoky Slate reinker, I turned it into a classic gray brick. Mix the ink into the paste well to make sure that the color is consistent throughout.

At Home Framelits: You can’t beat a bundle, and the At Home Framelits provides 12 dies to match the images of the At Home With You stamp set. They are all adorable, but one of my favorites is the door insert: it cuts three sides of the door so that it can “swing open” on your card or project. I always love a little surprise like that!

  1. Such a beautiful card, Deb! That red door is gorgeous! I love the wall you’ve created behind the door, too! Such a fun way to introduce these new markers. ❤
