The Jar of Love stamp set is so fun and bright that it can be used for any occasion. I used it here to make a card for my Valentine, but it works equally well for just about anything: thanks, birthday, thinking of you, get well…
Tips and Tricks
Height:
Sometimes breaking the boundaries are a good thing–especially when stamping. Here I let the leaves extend past the top of the central panel so they aren’t boxed in–get the whole card involved!
Depth:
Create depth on your card by using different shades of the same color. For example, I used 3 different greens for the foliage with the flowers. And if you look closely, you’ll see that the Smoky Slate gradually gets darker towards the bottom of the card (thank you, Sponge Brayers!)
Width:
I wanted a large sentiment, but wanted the card to be “portrait” rather than “landscape”. So move the central panel to the left and make room. The sentiment balances the card.
